I don’t like 3-D. I really don’t. Even the really, really good stuff . . . mostly, I don’t think it’s worth the money. I’m exceptionally annoyed that the last Harry Potter movie is supposed to be in 3-D, and I’ll be downright pissed if the midnight showing is only in 3D. Because then I won’t go. And I want to go.
However, if any director was ever going to turn me around on 3-D movies . . . if there was ever a project that I’d consider going to see despite my distaste for the style . . . it would be Baz Luhrmann doing a 3-D version of The Great Gatsby.
Just Baz and The Great Gatsby was enough to amuse me. But Baz in 3-D . . . I can’t even imagine that insanity.
