. . . A Psycho Will Always Emerge the Victor.

As preparation for my second annual Geek Battle of Blood next January, I decided to post a few match-ups between various horror movie villains. I tried to make the fights as even and balanced as I could.

Well, it turned out that some battles were more balanced than others.

Chucky vs Gage

And the winner is . . .

From the very beginning, Chucky dominated this race. He won with 75% of the vote. Poor little Gage never stood a chance. And I must say, despite the fact that I’m dressing up as Chucky this year for Halloween, I think I was rooting for the undead toddler just a little bit. I was actually surprised he lost so badly. I mean, I know he’s, like, two, but he’s a pretty vicious two. But Chucky does have more experience, and I suppose that counts for something.

Michael vs Jason

And the winner is . . .

Easily the closest of all the battles. Jason started out on top, but Michael quickly came back and established a huge lead, only for Jason to mount a massive comeback himself and win by one vote over the weekend. Again, I was surprised by this outcome . . . but happy about it, this time. I have some serious love for the Friday the 13th movies. Good for you, Jason! You fist pump with that machete!

Leatherface’s Family vs the Firefly Family

And the winner is . . .

Leatherface’s Family! The classic sadistic hillbilly family wins with more than twice the vote that the Firefly family received. I’ve never seen House of 1000 Corpses or The Devil’s Rejects, so I couldn’t make an informed decision myself, but I’d like to think that it’s always a good idea to put money down on the family featuring a dude named Leatherface.

Finally . . . Eli vs Claudia

And the winner is . . .

Claudia, God rest her, was slaughtered by Eli. This child vampire won the battle 23-9. There’s really no coming back from that.

Hmmph. I’ll have to work on much more even match-ups.
