What Halloween Could Have Been . . .

So, I watched Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween a couple of years ago, and I was not particularly impressed. What saddens me now is that we apparently could have had this remake instead:

Federico D’Alessandro (who did artwork and animation on The Avengers, among other things) created this nine minute pitch in hopes of directing a new Halloween movie. This is an awesome pitch. There is more tension and horror in this nine minutes than there is in the entire Zombie remake, and I am damn disappointed there isn’t a full movie to follow. Still, it’s worth a watch, if you’ve got nine minutes to spare. I know. Nine minutes is so long for a youtube video. Watch it anyway. It’s pretty good.

Also, there’s more of D’Alessandro’s artwork here on io9. Did I mention this movie would have been awesome?

All you’ve done now is make me depressed that this didn’t happen.
