Holy shit. John Scalzi’s Hugo-award winning novel, Redshirts, is being made into a TV series with a limited run for FX. (If you can’t guess from the title, the book is something of a Star Trek parody, but it’s a little more than that too.)

You can read about the details here. Personally, I’m excited about this one. I know a lot of people who didn’t like the book, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Regardless, I actually think the story could work even better in a TV format, and I can’t wait to hear more as the series develops.
