Well, it’s 8:30 in the morning and I just got home from work. Normally, this means pajamas and bedtime, but today I have to delay such beautiful things for a bit. It’s okay, though, because for once I’m delaying my much beloved sleep for all the FREAKING AWESOME.
What’s so awesome? Well. The first novelette in my fairy tale noir trilogy, “The Case of the Little Bloody Slipper,” is coming soon to a theater near you scheduled to be published in exactly three weeks (November 3rd), and today the cover art by Melanie Cook has been unveiled here. I got a sneak peek at the cover a while ago, and guys, I was totally blown away by just how perfect it was. I mean, I was basically just sitting on my couch, grinning like an idiot for twenty minutes, and I’m super excited that everyone else gets to see it now too.
But wait, there’s more! (Does anyone actually stick around when someone says that? Please don’t leave me just because I’m feeling a little punchy right now.) The story is also available for pre-order on Amazon, B&N, Smashwords, etc., and it comes with some hopefully neat bonus features. (A Q&A with me, for example — hey, don’t even pretend that’s not on your Christmas list this year. You know you live to hear my every word.)
And if you want to read the story today, you can actually do that by purchasing the ebook through The Book Smugglers website here. (It’s the same link as the cover art. You can also read a little more about the story itself and see if “The Case of The Little Bloody Slipper” sounds like your cup of tea, or flavor of carbonated beverage, if you’re a like-minded heathen who doesn’t actually like tea.)
Okay, off to bed soon. First, though: five minutes of happy dancing. It’s required.
Congratulations! I’ll have to read that, once my course has finished and I have free time again.
I like how old-school noir the cover is.
Thanks! And I know, I love that old-school quality too. 🙂
