In 2013, I made my first pro sale to Lightspeed with a dark comedy about a superhero and a supervillain trying to move on together after accidentally killing their respective nemeses. In subsequent years, I’d hoped to sell more work to John Joseph Adams, but had been unsuccessful . . . until now.
(cue dramatic music)
(. . . okay, it’s not that dramatic. cue whatever music you like.)
“Every Day is the Full Moon” will appear in Lightspeed at some point down the road. It’s a YA story about friendship, monsters, and what the Power of Love can and can’t actually accomplish. It’s also written in the second person because, honestly, I think I’m just addicted to writing in that POV. I will update the blog accordingly when it’s available to read.
Congratulations! And I hope you sell many more stories to dead American presidents in the future!
Congrats Carlie!! That’s awesome!
Thanks, Marisa! 🙂
